Window Replacement & Door Installation by Verified Contractors

CanaCore coordinates verified contractors for window replacement, new window installation, and exterior and interior door installation — energy-efficient, weatherproofed, and field-supervised from single units to whole-home replacements.

What Is Window & Door Installation?

Professional window and door installation replaces old, drafty, or outdated units with modern, energy-efficient products. New windows can reduce heating and cooling costs by 20-40%, while new doors improve security, weather protection, and home aesthetics. Quality installation requires proper measurement, careful removal of old units, precise fitting with appropriate shimming and insulation, and expert weatherproofing. Poor installation negates even the best products—correct installation is everything.

Common questions

How long does it take to replace the windows in a house?

The install itself is often a day or two for a typical home, but the schedule is set by the manufacturing lead time on the units, which are built to your exact openings. Site measurement comes first so the order is right the first time.

Will replacing a window require any structural work?

Swapping a unit into the same opening usually does not, but enlarging an opening, adding a new one, or installing a larger patio door means a new header and can be structural. That case is assessed, and drawings are prepared for permit review where needed.

What causes drafts and leaks around new windows?

Almost always the installation rather than the window — the gap around the frame has to be insulated and the exterior flashed and sealed so water drains out and air stays out. The field crew is supervised on those details because that is where callbacks come from.
